Digvijay Nath L.T. College, Gorakhpur, established in 1972, is one of the oldest teacher training institutions in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Initially offering L.T. training, it received permanent recognition from the Uttar Pradesh state government in 1983 and later introduced Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in 1999 and Master of Education (M.Ed.) in 2008, following the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) guidelines.
